This series of wooden plates, which can also be used as trays are made from Hokkaido’s sen (castor aralia) trees using a lathe. They are lightweight, easy to hold, and are resistant to breaking when dropped, so they can also be used by young children and butter fingers. The grooves on the bottom help your fingers grip onto the plate.
