We have eagerly awaited this release as Makiko Itoh is one of our favorite Japanese cookbook authors - "the only Japanese Cookbook You Will Ever Need!" Traditions, Tip and Techniques with over 600 Authentic Recipes. We can't wait to work our way through this cookbook. It is packed full of stories and we know that Makiko is a great writer. Her recipes are always easy to follow.
We have cooked with her Just Bento for almost 20 years now. Ours is tattered and spilt on, but that it because we love it so so much. Makiko Itoh is not only one of the worlds leading authorites on bento, but she is a fabulous cook. Her recipes remind of us the best what our host mothers or local restaurants in Japan served us. In general the recipes nutritious, healthy, delicious and gives us great comfort.
