Tenugui with traditional Edo dress cats playing with a ball. Kuniyoshi Hayari Neko Utagawa Kuniyoshi was one f the leading ukiyo-e artists in the Edo period. Famously known as a cat lover, this design shows cats playing with a traditional Japanese ball called "temari." Utagawa's innovative designs incorporated a cat's natural movements and expressions learned from closely observing his own many cats. The tenugui uses a double gauze, weaving technique with a staggered sewing pattern that results in a high absorbency and high quality texture. Perfect for using in the bath, wiping perspiration from your face, as a napkin, or as a kitchen towel.
